Hordes wept when the Test Icicles split; they were so young, had so much potential and were so damn pretty…Well fear not all skinny-jeaned fans, for here is a remix. However, 'Circle.Square.Triangle' showed superb musical craftsmanship the first time round, so why remix it? you may ask. Well, it seems you would be right to have some doubts. The filthy, funky bass line so prominent in the original has been lost, replaced by too much percussion which doesn’t seem to know how to finish. The pure joy of the Test Icicles came from the raw energy bursting from the speakers, but this gets lost here. Maybe good for a dance, but ultimately nothing special.
